鋯英砂介紹
鋯[gào] 砂亦稱鋯英砂、鋯英石，是一種以鋯的硅酸鹽 為主要組成的礦物。純凈的鋯英砂為無色透明晶體，常因產地不同、含雜質的種類與數量不同而染成黃、橙、紅、褐等色，結晶構造屬四方晶系，呈四方錐柱形，比重 4.6~4.71 ，比重的變化有時與成分和蝕變狀態有關鋯英石解理不**，均勻莫氏硬度為 7~8 級，折射率 1.93-2.01 ，熔點隨所含雜質的不同在 2190~2420 ℃內波動。主要化學組成為 ZrO2;SiO2 ，及少量 Fe2O3 、 CaO 、 AI2O3 等雜質。鋯英砂的理論組成為 ZrO2:67.1%;SiO2:32.9% 。它是 ZrO2-SiO2 系**的化合物。但天然鋯砂僅含約 57~66%ZrO2 。
鋯英石是一種主要由火成巖形成時從巖漿中結晶出來的鋯、硅和氧組成的礦物。鋯英石也產于巖脈和變質巖中。它屬四方晶系，常呈發育良好的錐狀小四方柱體，也成不規則粒狀。性脆，斷口貝殼狀。是優質的耐火材料。多與鈦鐵礦、金紅石、獨居石、磷釔礦等共生于海濱砂中，經水選、電選、磁選等選礦工藝分選后而得到。
