分子篩簡介

? ? 分子篩是一種包含有單一的微小孔洞的材料，可用于吸附氣體或液體，足夠小的分子可以通過孔道被吸附，而更大的分子則不能。與一個普通篩子不同的是它在分子水平上進行操作。例如，一個水分子小到可以通過但比它大一點的分子就不行。因此，分子篩常用來作干燥劑，一個分子篩能吸附高達其自身重量22的水分。通常分子篩由鋁硅酸鹽礦組成，也有合成的混合物或化合物，這些化合物具有開放結構使得小分子能夠擴散，如:粘土，多孔玻璃，微孔木炭，活性炭等。分子篩常被應用到石油工業，特別是用來純化氣體。例如可用硅膠吸附天然氣中的汞對鋁制管道和其他液化設備的腐蝕。
