? ? ? 明悅鉻鐵礦砂在造型材料中屬于特種砂的范疇，其主要礦物組成為FeO.Cr2O3，密度為4.0～4.8g/cm3，莫氏硬度為5.5～6級，耐火度大于1900℃，鉻鐵礦砂有很好的抗堿性渣的作用，不與氧化鐵等發生化學反應。由于鉻鐵礦砂熱導率比硅砂大好幾倍，而且在熔融金屬澆注過程中發生固相燒結，從而有利于防止熔融金屬的滲透。

2, chromite is inert, and react with other metal oxides, it will not be manganese steel water wetting. The use of the manganese steel castings can be a very successful chromite sand. If the mould is normally brush coating and silica content is low, there is no fayalite reaction.

3, small linear expansion of chromite, and linear expansion as a possible cause factors of sand inclusion of castings, so it may be used for mixing big green sand mold casting.
