? ? ?鋯英砂極耐高溫，其熔點達2750。并耐酸腐蝕。用于鑄造工業、陶瓷、玻璃工業以及制造耐火材料。少量的用于鐵合金、醫藥、油漆、制革、磨料、化工及核工業，極少量的用于冶煉金屬鋯。

? ? 鋯英石用于耐火材料，鑄造行業鑄型用砂，精密搪瓷器具，此外也用于玻璃、金屬以及鋯化合物的生產中。適于消失模、履膜砂、水玻璃砂、樹脂砂、精密鑄造及銅、鋁件的拋光清理。可制作玻璃窯的鋯英石磚，盛鋼桶用鋯英石磚、搗打料和澆注料；添加到其它材料中可**其性能，如合成堇青石中添加鋯英砂，可拓寬堇青石的燒結范圍，而又不影響其熱震穩定性；在高鋁磚中添加鋯英砂，制造抗剝落高鋁磚，熱震穩定性大大提高；還可用于提取ZrO2。鋯英砂可做鑄造用優質原砂，鋯英砂粉是鑄造用涂料主要成分。

? ? ?ZrO2含量6566的鋯英石砂因其耐熔性而直接用作鑄造廠鐵金屬的鑄型材料。鋯英石砂具有較低的熱膨脹性、**的導熱性，而且較其他普通耐熔材料有較強的化學穩定性，因此優質鋯英石和其他各種粘合劑一起有良好的粘結性而用于鑄造業。鋯英石砂也用作玻璃窯的磚塊，而鋯英石砂和鋯英石粉與其他耐熔材料混合還有其他用途。
